Full Description
Background: Hydraulic Technologies developed the Power Team eSync Motion Control System, a portable hydraulic solution designed for synchronized lifting, lowering, and positioning of heavy loads with high precision. The objective was to capture real-world product usage and translate complex system functionality into clear, visual demonstrations for customer-facing materials.
I was brought onto the project on short notice, with a limited window to capture footage while the product and team were available on-site at their testing facility.
Execution: Led on-location production as the sole media operator, responsible for planning and capturing all visual content.
Quickly collaborated with a writer to understand the product’s core functionality and define the problem/solution narrative to guide the shoot.
Developed a shot list focused on real-world use cases, system interactions, and key product features, ensuring coverage aligned with both marketing and product demonstration needs.
Captured footage at a testing lot behind the manufacturing facility, coordinating with on-site team members to stage and execute lifting scenarios using large concrete slabs.
Operated camera and stabilization setup (Sony A6100 with 16–35mm lens on DJI gimbal), focusing on controlled, intentional shots that highlighted system precision, mobility, and interface interaction.
Worked within tight time constraints and minimal pre-production, prioritizing structured, reusable footage that could support multiple downstream applications.
Results: Delivered a complete set of organized raw footage aligned with storyboard requirements, enabling efficient post-production for the final landing page video.
Footage was used across multiple outputs, including the primary product video, broader product suite content, and internal training materials.
Provided a flexible asset library that supported marketing, sales, and operational use cases, extending the value of a single production effort across teams.
